Just be YOU
I hadn’t planned on blogging thoughts of mine. Maybe quotes from inspirational people, but not me. For some reason, though, I feel like I need to today. Whoever reads this, you’re awesome. Whoever doesn’t, no hard fellings.
Today I went outside, spread out a sheet and read a book while lying on the grass. It was relaxing (nerd moment; book lovers unite!). It was Waiting For You by Susane Colasanti. It’s a great book for girls. The main character is a lot like me, besides for her anxiety. Then I ended up watching the ending of the movie Radio Rebel. Yeah it may be dorky or lame to watch a Disney Channel movie but I don’t care. I am a mix between both of those. A girl wishing so badly for love to find her while trying to break free and be heard, not laughed at for who she is. It’s hard to show who you are to people. You’re afraid of not being accepted. You say what is truly you and someone makes fun of it to your face. I know how that is. My mission this year? Sophomore year, 16th birthday; be me. I don’t care what people think. I don’t care what guys say. There’s someone out there for me. My best friends think my craziness is pretty cool. So why does it matter what everyone else thinks? Time for a quote!!!
